Pulled out of work today with my old truck ('02 GMC w/ 5.3L). And as I was going sideways across the road remembered how easy it is to get oppo in, and that it was in 2 wheel drive. The rest of the ride home was quite entertaining. Man that truck is easy to put sideways and even easier to control how sideways you want it.
My new truck ('11 F-150 w/ 3.5L) is harder to get sideways and once it goes it usually goes too far and you can't maintain a nice drift. I wonder if it is the weight or the tires? Even with the traction control off it takes a lot to kick the F-150 sideways.
The new truck is a crew cab with 4.5' bed and the old truck is a club cab with 6.5' bed. Tires are still OEM on the F-150 and Bridgestone Dueler AT REVO on the GMC.
